NEXT 2015 offered attendees a wide range of sessions, programs, and special events addressing their clinical, research, and educational interests. Here are a few highlights.

Billie Jean King Serves Up Winning Keynote Address

"You're very special people. I hope you know it."

That was the message tennis legend Billie Jean King delivered to a rapt audience during NEXT's opening event Wednesday night. Her keynote address—a talk show-style conversation with APTA Chief Financial Officer Rob Batarla, MBA, CPA, CAE—emphasized the importance of PTs in her own career and life, as well as to the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), the organization she helped form in 1973. The wide-ranging discussion also touched on subjects ranging from the roots of her social activism to the famed "Battle of the Sexes" against Bobby Riggs in 1973 and the transformation of Caitlyn Jenner.
