New Guidelines for Delivering Services to Patients With Dementia in Home Setting 

New best practice recommendations from the Alzheimer's Association provide definitive information and support to providers caring for patients with Alzheimer's disease at home. The "Dementia Care Practice Recommendations for Professionals Working in a Home Setting" stress a person-centered, culturally-sensitive care approach to meet the changing needs people with dementia and their families living in a home setting. The guidelines provide evidence-based practice suggestions for communication and decision making, understanding behaviors, personal care, safety and personal autonomy, home safety, end-of-life care, home-care provider training, and more.
