ABPTS Online Directory of Certified Clinical Specialists in Physical Therapy

The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) has certified 8,408 individuals who have demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in physical therapy specialty areas. Currently, the ABPTS offers board-certification in seven specialty areas: Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Clinical Electrophysiologic, Geriatric, Neurologic, Orthopaedic, Pediatric, and Sports physical therapy. The following initials after the "PT" designation denote a physical therapist who is a board-certified clinical specialist.

You may wish to begin with the "most narrow" search first, perhaps searching by focus areas within a specialty combined with city. If no certified specialist is identified using these search criteria, you may broaden your search by searching by specialty area and state. The "CLEAR" tab at the bottom of the dialog box can be used to clear the search results and begin a new search using modified criteria.
