Criteria for Scientific Review Committee (SRC) Membership
a. Must be licensed to practice physical
therapy in the United States.
b. Must hold a PhD or equivalent degree from an accredited
University.
c. Must have personal experience conducting research, as evidenced by a
sustained publication record in refereed, peer-reviewed journals.
d. Must have received grants as a principal investigator.
e. Experience reviewing grant proposals on an NIH study panel, or other
grant review experience, is desirable.
f. Experience with a variety of measurement tools and instruments to
evaluate physical performance and quality of life is preferable.
g. Must have knowledge about the physical therapy profession, and its
future direction, as evidenced by APTA membership, active participation
at national APTA meetings or a sustained record of service at the
component level.
h. Knowledge of, or experience with APTA's Clinical Research Agenda is
preferable.
i. Experience with large funding agencies, such as the National
Institutes of Health, American Heart Foundation, Arthritis Foundation,
Christopher Reeve Foundation, and the Spinal Cord Injury Foundation, is
preferable.
