Recent Actions by CAPTE

CAPTE meets twice a year (April and October) to review physical therapist and physical therapist assistant education programs.  CAPTE also makes Candidacy decisions in January and July and may make decisions at other times as needed. A list of CAPTE's most recent actions can be accessed here.

Public Disclosure Statements: NOTICE OF INTENT TO PUBLISH

Pursuant to changes in requirements for recognition by the US Department of Education, and effective for all decisions made after July 1, 2009, CAPTE will begin making available on this Web page brief statements about the reasons for decisions to place or maintain programs on probation and for final decisions to deny candidacy, withdraw candidacy, withhold accreditation, or withdraw accreditation. All programs are given the opportunity to provide comments in response to such decisions; official comments received from programs will be posted here as well.
