Original Audio Conference Description:
The trend toward higher out-of-pocket health care costs and the nation's
ongoing recession has intensified efforts to improve operating
performance of physical therapy practices. Physical therapists often
underestimate the financial impact of an efficient revenue cycle
management process. An efficient revenue cycle process will
significantly reduce the physical therapist practice's administrative
cost, including time-consuming administrative efforts such as
investigating and appealing claims that payers have denied. This audio
conference will help you to take a closer look at internal processes and
ensure best practices within your facility to help maximize
efficiencies.
Consultant Lynn Steffes and Carmen Elliott of APTA's Payment Policy
& Advocacy Department will tell you what you need to know about the
processes involved in creating efficiencies in your revenue cycle
management process. They will also discuss strategies in
point-of-service collections, dealing with third-party payers, and other
top issues dealing with revenue cycle management. During the Q & A
session following the presentation you may ask questions directly to the
experts.
Upon completion of the audio conference, you will be able to:
- Identify the processes involved in revenue cycle management in your
offices.
- Develop effective strategies in increasing up-front cash
collections.
- Optimize management of the accounts receivable process.
- Develop tools that help maximize efficiencies in overall operational
performance by office staff.
- Identify and strategize on areas that may negatively impact revenue
cycle management and cash flow.
- Maximize opportunities in dealing with third-party payers.
Continuing Education Units: Each registered participant will
receive a Certificate of Attendance to earn .2 CEU or 2 contact hours
