APTA Committees & Board-Appointed Groups

Components and individual members are encouraged to submit names for the APTA Appointed Group Pool to assist the Board of Directors in filling vacancies on APTA standing committees and advisory panels.  When recommending individuals for appointment, members may contact Governance staff and a letter that describes the Appointed Group Pool and the appointment process will be sent directly to the individual being recommended.

APTA members and, in some cases, non-members may submit their name for consideration for appointment to an APTA committee and/or advisory panel via the online Appointed Group Pool Biographical and Consent Form.  Members who have an interest in serving on an appointed group must submit this form by January 1, 2010, for consideration by the Board for appointment. 

Most appointments are made in March, however additional appointments are made throughout the year as necessary. Serving on an APTA committee or other Board-appointed group is a great way to become involved and make a difference in your Association.
