Original Audio Conference Description:

In today's litigious world where the cost of malpractice insurance is on the rise, it is essential for physical therapy practitioners in all settings to get serious about understanding and practicing good risk management strategies. This audio conference is designed to help you do just that. Using data from CNA HealthPro's recently released Physical Therapy Claims Study, the panel of experts will provide an analysis of physical therapist professional liability claims and specific recommendations to address physical therapist professional liability exposures. In addition to receiving physical therapy-specific liability data to help drive your risk management planning, you will have the chance to dialogue with the panel during a Q&A session following the overview. Don't miss this opportunity to share your risk management questions and concerns.

Upon completion of this audio conference, you will be able to:

  • Define key terms relative to malpractice and professional liability insurance, as well as the concept of risk management.
  • Discuss the parameters, methodology, and findings of the Physical Therapy Claims Study.
  • Use the recommendations from the Physical Therapy Claims Study to enhance your focus on patient safety.
  • Analyze the risk management plan in place at your own practice setting and identify areas for improvement.
