Where Do Your Dues Dollars Go?
Ever wondered what APTA does with your membership dues? Rest
assured—your dues dollars go a long way! Look at how APTA puts
your money to work for you:
- $0.28: Supporting Services (Includes Marketing, Membership,
Public Relations, Governance, Finance, and
Component Services)
- $0.23: Professional Services & Government
Affairs
- $0.12: Education/Research & Professional Development
- $0.09: PT 2007 & Combined Sections Meeting
APTA works to protect you and the entire profession. As an APTA
member, you have the power of nearly 71,000 physical therapy
professionals representing your professional interests daily on Capitol
Hill! Your dues dollars provide representation on legislative and
regulatory issues that affect the way you practice every day. You can be
proud! It's your membership that supports these efforts to protect the
future of your profession.
In addition to APTA's strong advocacy efforts, your membership gives
you access to exclusive member benefits, including free subscriptions to
the most widely respected periodicals in the profession: PT Magazine,
Physical Therapy, and PT Bulletin Online. You also have access to
quality insurance and financial services all of which have been reviewed
by a committee of your peers to ensure that you're receiving the best
possible services. Take a few moments to learn more about APTA's many
exclusive member benefits so that you make the most of your
membership!
Consider all the membership benefits and the many accomplishments
that APTA has made for you—all for less per day than what you'd
pay for a cup of coffee! (National dues amount to just 77 cents a day
for PTs; 51 cents per day for PTAs; and 22 cents per day for students!)
See what the unified strength of nearly 71,000 members can do!
