Federal Register - Many federal agencies announce their available grants by printing an announcement in the Federal Register.  On this Web page you can search issues of the Federal Register for announcements of grants or you can browse issues by date. 

NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts - The Guide is the official publication announcing NIH policies, procedures, and available funding. See the NIH Web site at
www.nih.gov 

NIHTOC-L - Sign up to receive the table of contents for the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts via e-mail each week.  The NIHTOC-L e-mail includes the Web site address for the full text of each Guide announcement or article.  For instructions on how to subscribe to this mailing list see the NIH Guide Web page.

ResearchResearch Lite - Sign up for e-mail notification of research and education funding activities from participating, major federal agencies and other organizations. A free version and a subscription version of the e-mail notification service is available.

US Department of Education Grants Forecast FY 2009 - Lists virtually all programs and competitions under which the Department of Education has invited or expects to invite applications for new awards for fiscal year 2009.  Actual and estimated application deadline dates are provided.  The lists are in chart-form and include previously announced programs and competitions as well as those to be announced at a later date. 


Associations and Foundations

Information on additional associations can be found by using the Encyclopedia of Associations and other association directories.  Information on additional foundations can be found by using the Foundation Directory and the Annual Register of Grant Support: A Directory of Funding Sources. These directories are available in most public and college libraries.  Information on foundations may also be found by visiting a Foundation Center Library in your area.  Contact the Foundation Center's main office for further information.
