Be a Mentor!
APTA invites all interested members to become mentors through the
"Members Mentoring Members" program. Application
forms are available online. Interested parties may also contact
Minority Affairs & Women's Initiatives directly at 800-999-2782,
ext. 3143.
By completing and submitting the mentoring application, members
volunteer to participate in the "Members Mentoring Members" program and
agree to have their application information included in the directory
(both the booklet and Internet versions). Once a mentoring application
is received and the mentor's profile is listed in the directory, they
may begin receiving calls from prospective proteges.
Participants should keep in mind that APTA does not recommend
matches, but rather furnishes appropriate information so that
prospective proteges can select potential mentors suited to their
interests and goals. Proteges are then responsible for contacting those
mentoring candidates directly.
