Highlights from Preview 2020 (2007)

Preview 2020, held November 16-18, 2007, in Phoenix, Arizona, kicked off with an announcement that the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (PCPFS) formally named the APTA as Science Partner. In his address immediately following the announcement, APTA President R Scott Ward, PT, PhD, said there was "no better way" to start the meeting. Ward spoke on Vision 2020 and wished conference attendees a "good weekend of learning and a great weekend of networking."

Diabetes is a "disease of inactivity," said Steven Tepper, PT, PhD, in an Advanced Exercise Prescription session that focused on physical therapy management of diabetes.
