Title: Database Specialist
Department: Accreditation
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages the various technology platforms used in the accreditation department (CRM database and CAPTE Accreditation Portal), including testing of proposed solutions to problems
- Provides assistance to internal and external users of the CAPTE Accreditation Portal and Web survey platforms, including troubleshooting identified problems, and development and update of user-manuals
- Assists in the processing of Annual Accreditation Reports from programs via the Portal , including contacting programs to obtain correct data when necessary
- Serves as the primary point of contact with the database vendor
- Interacts as needed with the APTA Web manager, the learning management system, and Web-based survey support
- Creates routine and special reports from the information in the accreditation database and Web-based surveys, including "cleaning the data" prior to reporting
- Maintains accuracy of information on the CAPTE Web page
- Formats training modules and surveys for placement on Web-based platforms
- Provides support for other departmental functions as needed
- All other duties as required by management related to the orderly, efficient, and safe operation of APTA
QUALIFICATIONS
- Baccalaureate degree preferable or equivalent related experience
- Knowledge of and experience with customer relations management database software, including customization (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to juggle multiple activities
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential materials and maintain confidentiality
