Title: National Governance and Leadership Manager

Department: National Governance

FLSA Status: Exempt

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS

This position:

  • Manages activities within the National Governance and Leadership Department related to the House of Delegates
  • Oversees the year-round delegate roster process, produces House documents, writes monthly newsletter and manages House-related content for APTA's website and SharePoint
  • Develops delegate educational materials and programs
  • Oversees association's regional caucuses and House caucuses
  • Manages logistics and develops materials for virtual and onsite meetings
  • Maintains bylaws and standing rules and House policies
  • Supervises one administrative employee
  • Nights, weekends, and travel required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 5+ years in professional level related position
  • Association background working with policy-making bodies preferred
  • CAE Certification preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and changing deadlines
  • Demonstrated competency in leadership and management
