The Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) focuses on programming designed by all 18 of APTA's specialty sections.
CSM 2012 will bring together more than 8,000 physical therapy professionals from around the nation for several stimulating days of exceptional programming, networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall filled with products and services in Chicago. Here's an overview:
A Simpler Schedule
Sessions will begin and end at the same time each day to allow for better session planning. There will be 30 minutes between each session to provide ample time for attendees to arrive for the next scheduled session.
Tuesday, February 7, and Wednesday, February 8 (preconference courses)
8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Thursday, February 9 through Saturday, February 11 (education sessions)
8:00 am – 10:00 am
10:30 am – 12:30 pm
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
CSM programming will occur at one of these three locations: the Hilton Chicago, McCormick Place's Lakeside Center, and the Fifth Floor of the McCormick Place's South Building (adjacent to the Lakeside Center).
All APTA sponsored evening activities will take place at the Hilton Chicago and/or the Palmer House Hotel.
CEU Information
Your attendance at CSM 2012 is equivalent to 1.8 CEUs (18 contact hours/CCUs). The number of CEUs awarded for each session at CSM will be listed in the onsite program. Learn more.
Professional Shuttle Service
APTA will provide shuttles for attendees traveling between the Hilton Chicago, the Palmer House, and McCormick Place (only from these locations) from Tuesday, February 7, through Saturday, February 11 during the following times: 7:00 am - 11:00 am and 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Attendees are encouraged to book at the Hilton Chicago and the Palmer House to better assist the association in determining the most appropriate and efficient transportation schedules.
Evening Shuttles
APTA will provide shuttles for attendees traveling between the Hilton Chicago and the Palmer House for evening events on Thursday, February 9 and Friday, February 10 between 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
Exhibit Hall
The CSM Exhibit Hall at McCormick Place will feature more than 400 companies showcasing the latest and greatest in products and services available to physical therapy professionals, plus TechnoPalooza, offering opportunities to share ideas, discuss your findings, and provide your creative perspective on all kinds of interactive technology used in physical therapy.

Expanded Exhibit Hall Hours
In response to overwhelming requests, the Exhibit Hall hours at CSM 2012 will be expanded to provide attendees with additional opportunities to view posters and to learn more about the products, services, and technology that can enhance your practice. The new hours are:
