Welcome to a town bursting with art, comedy, music, and a fine appreciation of quality living. With clear skies and snow on the mountains in the distance, you will fall in love with the mile-high city! And Denver is one of the most pedestrian-friendly cities in America. Check out many features of the Denver tourism site (there is a "translate" feature in the top navigation bar).
Several airlines fly nonstop from Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom, to Denver, including British Airways and United Airlines. The airport is an easy and inexpensive 40-minute ride from downtown via the Airport Rail.
Ride the free shuttle down the 1-mile-long 16th Street Mall to access shops, restaurants, bars, and attractions. Impress your friends and take a selfie on the 13th step of the Colorado State Capitol—you will be exactly 1 mile above sea level! Visit attractions like the Denver Art Museum, the Museum of Nature and Science, and the Botanic Gardens.
Check out The Denver Central Market, a gourmet marketplace with a food hall, bars, and vendors under a 1920’s roof. Try authentic American Indian food, or dig in at one of the many Mexican, Asian, and steak restaurants in town.
Denver is the king of beers. The city brews more beer than any other in the US. Taste them all (or at least a couple) at one of the many brew pubs—many have tours! Looking for a craft cocktail? The city boasts many distilleries and cocktail bars, try a specialty cocktail like the Colorado Sidecar, Cowboy Coffee, or a Blackberry Sage Manhattan at Duo restaurant.
In a 45-minute drive you will find the iconic Coors Brewery (take a tour, samples included!) and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a breathtaking natural stone wonder. Want snow? The mountains and Pike’s Peak are about 1.5 hours away and only 12 miles from Colorado Springs. Hop the Amtrak Winter Park Express ski train for a perfect day in the mountains.
With February temperatures averaging 49°F / 10°C and only 2 days of rain, the town is the perfect place to enjoy the conference.
