Call For ELI Mentors
APTA is seeking senior physical therapists or physical therapist assistants with significant experience and success as program directors or leaders in physical therapy education to fill mentor vacancies in the Education Leadership Institute (ELI) Fellowship for the next cohort. Review the ELI Mentorship Guide (.pdf) for information about the role of mentorship within ELI and the qualifications, attributes, and requirements for mentors. If you wish to be considered by the ELI Work Group for a mentor position beginning with the 2017-2018 cohort in June 2017, please submit your curriculum vitae and brief letter of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 15, 2017.
Mentorship is an essential component of the Educational Leadership Institute (ELI) Fellowship.
Mentors provide focused fellow-in-training-centered guidance throughout the yearlong program. Collectively, mentors are experienced leaders from physical therapist and physical therapist assistant programs and represent diverse institutional settings including public/private and Carnegie classifications. Mentors provide regular and timely interaction with fellows-in-training through coaching, advising, and thought provoking questions on an individual basis as well as through their assigned small mentorship group during the ELI Fellowship.
