Clinical Site Development

The intent of these voluntary guidelines is to provide academic and clinical educators with direction and guidance in the development and enhancement of clinical education sites and physical therapist and physical therapist assistant CIs and CCCEs.

The primary purpose of the CSIF is for physical therapy education programs to collect information from clinical education sites to facilitate clinical site selection and student placements, assess the learning experiences and practice opportunities available to students, and provide assistance with documentation relevant for accreditation.
