The Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program (CCIP) is intended for health care providers who work primarily in a clinical setting and are interested in developing their teaching abilities. In participating in Credential Clinical Instructor Program Level 1 (CCIP Level 1), and advancing through Clinical Instructor Program Level 2 (CCIP Level 2) participants will explore different aspects of the clinical learning environment and will learn skills and techniques necessary to provide a structured and effective learning environment for students.
Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Level 1 (CCIP 1)
This voluntary program is designed primarily for people interested in or involved with clinical education clinical instructors (CIs), center coordinators of clinical education (CCCEs), academic coordinators of clinical education (ACCEs) and is recognized by APTA as a Clinical Instructor (CI) Education and Credentialing Program.
CCIP Refresher Module 1: Using Objectives to Focus Student Learning
This refresher is the first in a series to be produced for the Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program as a means of assisting CIs to review or refresh their knowledge and skills. This module is a 2-hour interactive course consisting of two parts (2 one-hour modules). APTA Members: $49.00 |Nonmembers: $65.00. CEUs: 0.2 (upon completion of both modules) * Be advised, CCIP Refresher Modules are NOT intended to replace the Level 1 training course.
Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Level 2 (CCIP 2)
Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Level 2 (CCIP 2) is the successor to APTA's former Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program (ACCIP). This voluntary program is designed for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who have successfully completed the APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Level 1 Program (CCIP 1), and want to further develop their clinical teaching skills and construct a clinical curriculum. The unique philosophy and design of CCIP 2 both applies and goes beyond the concepts of the structured learning environment of CCIP 1 to enable clinical educators to achieve the best outcomes for student learning.
