Revisions to the Code and Standards

In 2009 APTA's House of Delegates adopted a revised Code and Standards. The two APTA core documents, which went into effect July 1, 2010, have been expanded to better delineate the ethical obligations of all PTs and PTAs. Details of these revisions are covered in the online course Information on APTA's Revised Code of Ethics for the Physical Therapist (PT) and Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), which is available through the APTA Learning Center.
