Genetics in Physical Therapy

Since the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2003, the discovery of multiple genetic polymorphisms and how physiological and functional improvements can be imparted well beyond the identification of genetic markers for individuals who carry increased risk for a disease process. These discoveries have profound implications for the practice of physical therapy and invite us to learn more about this important interaction.
