APTA.org passwords must be at least 7 characters in length and contain at least 1 letter and 1 number. Logins and passwords are case-sensitive.
If you have not logged into APTA’s website since February 2017, you will be directed to reset your password to meet the new complexity requirements.
APTA Members: Unless you have changed your default login information in your Profile, your "User ID" is your membership number and your password is your last name followed by the number 1.*
Nonmember Registered Users: Unless you have changed your default login information in your Profile, your "User ID" is the email address you used when creating your APTA.org account and your password is your last name followed by the number 1.*
*If your last name has fewer than six characters, your password is your first and last name combined without spaces followed by the number 1 (example: janedoe1). If your first and last name combined have fewer than six characters, zeros will be added to the front of your combined first and last name followed by the number 1 until a 7-character password has been reached (example: 0jandoe1).
Passwords cannot contain certain characters: If your last name has an apostrophe or single quote, enter your last name without that character and without a space (Correct: DiJarmon, Incorrect: Di'Jarmon). Other characters not accepted in passwords:
- Single quote (')
- Double quote (")
- Pound sign (#)
