The "movement system" represents the collection of systems (cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, integumentary, nervous, and musculoskeletal) that interact to move the body or its component parts. (Learn more about the movement system.)
As part of a comprehensive plan to integrate the movement system within practice, education, and research, the Movement System Task Force identified the need to develop movement system diagnoses and a movement screen.
Thank you to those who took time to provide examples and feedback on the
movement system diagnosis and movement screen templates. Over the next
few months, APTA staff and leadership will review these and aggregate
the data and provide a summary of our findings and next steps in the
Fall of 2019. The request for feedback ended June 30, 2019.
