APTA's Clinical Performance Instrument (CPI) Web was based on the CPI: Version 2006 and officially launched July 15, 2008 as a web-based product. CPI Web is administered through Liaison International, in collaboration with APTA. Liaison International administers the CPI on behalf of APTA and provides technical customer service to academic programs.
Getting CPI Web
DPT education programs interested in using or learning more about the CPI Web should contact Liaison International by completing the online registration.
Clinical Educators and Students
Training modules for the Physical Therapist Clinical Performance Instrument Web (PT CPI Web) and the Physical Therapist Assistant Clinical Performance Instrument Web (PTA CPI Web) are now delivered through a single user-friendly platform. The platform is a "one-stop" system that simplifies registration and helps users onboard more quickly.
The training is free and open-access, allowing users to quickly and easily download the resources they need, and the site includes a Clinical Assessment Suite Help Center with special assistance areas for program staff, clinical education coordinators, clinical instructors, and students. The modules can be viewed as often as users prefer.
Users who have completed the modules on the previous APTA Learning Center-based platform do not need to re-take the modules in the new platform, but they do need to download completion certificates, found here. The certificate and CEU files will remain in the APTA Learning Center until March 1, 2019. After March 1, 2019, the certificate and CEU files will no longer be available.
