  • Prospective Payment System Proposed Rules Released for IRFs, SNFs

    The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued its proposed rule on the 2018 prospective payment system (PPS) for inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs), and its proposed PPS rule as well as a proposal of advanced rulemaking for public comment for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). APTA regulatory affairs staff members are reviewing the proposals, and PT in Motion News will publish a report with highlights early next week.     CMS issued this advance notice of proposed rulemaking to solicit public comments on potential options for revising certain aspects of the existing SNF PPS payment methodology.
