If you are a physical therapist (PT) in private practice, the decision to participate in an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) is one that you will have to make after evaluating your professional and community needs. PTs who are employed by a health care organization that is considering becoming an ACO will be well served by considering ways to advocate for innovative and important roles for PTs in these new models of care.
In an effort to prepare members for health care integration, APTA is highlighting innovative clinical practice models to illustrate ways in which PTs can play an important role in ACOs and other integrated care models. Each APTA member appearing in a video is part of a nontraditional, outside-the-box creative practice model.
Additional videos, tools, and resources will be added to the Web page shortly.
