Be a Part of History: Advocate for Your Profession

"With the momentum of last week's rally, now is the perfect time for APTA members who could not attend PT Day on Capitol Hill to contact their members of Congress and urge them to support the 3 pieces of legislation that drew nearly 1,000 PTs, PTAs, and students to Washington, DC," says Justin Moore, PT, DPT, vice president of Government and Payment Advocacy. "It's imperative that all members reach out to their Senators and Representatives and ask them to support legislation to repeal the cap, expand the National Health Service Corps Repayment Program to include PTs, and protect student athletes from concussions."

If you weren't on Capitol Hill Thursday, you can still be part of this historic event. Watch a video and read firsthand accounts from rally attendees at Moving Forward. Go to APTA's Legislative Action Center to contact your members of Congress today.

I am opposed to AB 783. I ahve worked under prestensious Medical corporations, urgent cares, and hospitals who take advantage of PT and PTA'S, wtih high work loads and demands minmizing quality of care. Even other private PT owned pracices I have worked ran the business the same un-ethical and greedy way. We also need to acknowledge also the Medicare, Medicaid and Private Ins and HMOS are also to blame for their actions in reducing the reimbursmants to Physcial Therapists who proved high quality care. Now days I see many of my collegues closing down their business because of these issues, POPTs/Chiro-PT owned/ CORFS/ Urgent Care and Hospitals/SNFS and Home Health agencies all compete and abuse the hard working and honets PT's. This is a really big problem for the safety of the consumers. State lacks proper regulation on Insurance practices and POPTs/Chiro-PT owned/ CORFS/ Urgent Care and Hospitals/SNFS and Home Health agencies. Agin I oppose Senate Bill AB783 !!! Roeml Posada,PT
