APTA Moves Forward on New Governance Vision

The House of Delegates (House) adopted Principles of Governance last week, expressing its views of a member-driven organization and taking another step forward toward a new APTA governance structure.

The principles, which are aligned with the Vision for the Future of APTA Governance, define the roles and responsibilities of the House, the Board of Directors, chapters, and sections; emphasize collaboration among the entities; encourage maximum member inclusiveness and engagement; and support transparency.

More information on the governance review, including a list of frequently asked questions and a list of members serving on governance review subgroups, can be found at this link.

i think it is not fear the fact that candidates from florida can only take the board 5 times and it is not successful they do not have the opportunity to live in the state due to lack of license. This rule should be changed and have the chance to take the exam as many times as we need until passe it. Thank you
