Have questions about the National Physical Therapy Examination? APTA recently launched a Web page that describes the test's format and how it is scored, provides the dates the test is available and the fees involved, and offers guidelines and tips on registration and eligibility.
This is a wonderful resource, however it provides information that is related only to the PT NPTE. The PTA NPTE is 150 scored items (200 total questions) and is a shorter exam (4 hours instead of 5). Also, PTAs are able to test at any time (there is NOT fixed date testing for PTAs). I hope the APTA will make this clarification between the PT version of the NPTE and the PTA version of the NPTE as the information as it stands can lead to more confusion.
