Registration for the 2011 APTA State Policy & Payment Forum closes September 5. This event is designed to increase your involvement in and knowledge of state legislative issues that have an impact on the practice of physical therapy, and to improve your advocacy efforts at the state level. Programming this year will focus on physical therapist (PT) payment issues at the state level and will include presentations on PT copay legislation, silent PPOs, Medicaid, State Health Insurance Exchanges, referral for profit, and much more. Attendees will hear from influential public policy makers and other physical therapy advocates, collaborate with colleagues in developing chapter or section's state advocacy efforts, and network with other professionals from across the country.
