  • National Physical Therapy Month Begins October 1

    • Our hospital is having Neuro Conference and our theme, "Prevention of neuro injuries: From the Athlete to the weekend warrior". This theme supports our national theme this year.

    • Our hospital Bert Fish MEdical Center in New SMyrna Beach gave the community free flu shots and a health fair October 3, 2011. Our physical therapy department provided screening for balance and also gave handouts on the warning signs of stroke to improve community awareness on fall prevention, stroke prevention and education on warning signs.
