New FLR Toolkit Walks You Through Requirements

Are you ready for the July 1 functional limitation reporting (FLR) requirements? APTA has a new online toolkit that explains the rules, lists the codes you need to report, provides examples, and links to other resources.

Beginning July 1, the testing period ends for reporting functional limitations on claim forms for all outpatient Medicare Part B patients—if the appropriate codes are not included in claims for patient visits on or after July 1, your claims will be returned unpaid. "Functional Limitation Reporting for Medicare Part B Patients: A Toolkit" will help you get started on the process and file your claims correctly.

APTA members can access the toolkit free; it soon will also be available for sale to nonmembers through the APTA online store.

Users having problems logging into the site should try any/all of the following: 1) Look in the upper right corner of the website: click the Login or Logout link, depending on what you see. 2) After your browser refreshes, click the Login link and login to the website using your username/password (feel free to use the Remember Me feature to make login easier in the future). 3) If your login is again unsuccessful, use the "Forgot your password?" feature, OR clear your browsing history in your Internet browser of choice, OR try using an alternate browser and see if you have the same problem. PLEASE REMEMBER: cookies must be enabled to successfully login to APTA.org.

I still cannot get into the FLR tool kit. It loops me back to sign in and I am already signed in. this is very frustrating.

Access to the tool kit should not be this labor intensive and complicated. I have tried your above options to try to open the tool kit without success. Please fix it. Time is of the essence. Thanks you. Nancy Rowan

If a user is not logged in and clicks on the toolkit PDF link, the user will be redirected to login. After logging in, the user will be redirected back to the previous page. At that point, the user needs to reselect the toolkit link. To simplify this process, login in the upper right corner of the site first. Then go to www.apta.org/FLR, then click the toolkit link. It should open successfully. (Ashely and Nancy, we have logged in using your profiles and successfully accessed the toolkit.)
