What is Reach100?
Reach100 is a nationwide call to membership and a way for your school to show that its students are APTA members.
When does Reach100 begin/end?
Reach100 begins on January 15, 2018, and ends on April 30, 2018.
How does my school participate?
It's easy! Submit a signed entry form (.pdf) and a student roster of all the student members in your program. All entry forms must be signed by a faculty member. Any student or faculty member may submit the form.
Why should our school participate?
Why not? It's quick, easy and rewarding! You'll a get the chance to win cool prizes. We send a certificate and an electronic web button to your school. We also give your school a national shout-out via our website and on a banner at national conferences.
What do the levels mean?
All schools at the Platinum Level have 100% APTA membership among students, all schools at the Gold Level have 90% membership or higher, and all schools at the Silver Level have 80% membership or higher. All schools in the Honorable Mention Level have 50-79% among students.
If my school is at the Gold or Silver Level, can we move up to the next level?
Yes! Simply let us know of the additional students have joined or renewed their membership, and we'll verify and recalculate the percentages.
Who can participate in Reach100?
Any physical therapist (PT) student, physical therapist assistant (PTA) student, or faculty member can participate by submitting the entry form and roster.
My school already requires APTA membership. Can we still participate?
Yes! We understand that some schools may have an advantage, which is why we raffle many more individual prizes—giving student members in all participating programs more chances to win.
My school always has had 100% membership among students. So we already should be in Reach100, right?
Not exactly. Many schools meet the requirements for Reach100, but some forget to submit their entry form and student roster. We want you to get actively involved in this process, too, giving you another chance to get to know APTA members at your school.
We're not sure how many student members we have.
That's okay. Submit an entry form and a roster of all the students in your program anyway. APTA can help determine the number of student members at your school.
Where do we send entry materials?
Mail them to Reach100, 1111 N Fairfax St, Alexandria, VA 22314; email them to Reach100@apta.org; or fax them to 703/706-7343.
How do I know my school has qualified for a level in Reach100?
Contact people listed on the form will receive a confirmation email from APTA. You also can check out the Participating Programs list at any time, or send an email to Reach100@apta.org to see if APTA has received your entry form.
Can we send in my class roster only?
Sorry. To be fair, we need all 3 classes of PT students and both classes of PTA students in order to meet eligibility requirements.
Do you check every student?
Yes. We go through the student roster to ensure that it is consistent with the entry form.
How to we submit photos for the photo contest?
Email photos to Reach100@apta.org before May 31, 2018.
Can we still participate in the photo contest even if our school didn't qualify?
Sure! Participating in the photo contest may get more students at your school excited to become members.
