Make plans now to attend the 2012 State Policy & Payment Forum, scheduled for December 1-3, 2012, at the Hilton in Old Town Alexandria, VA. The 2012 forum will be combined with the 2012 APTA Reimbursement Chairs meeting and the 2012 APTA Board of Directors meeting.
The APTA State Policy & Payment Forum is designed to increase your involvement in and knowledge of state legislative issues that have an impact on the practice of physical therapy, and to improve your advocacy efforts at the state level. Programming focuses on PT payment issues at the state level and will include presentations on PT co-pay legislation, Silent PPOs, Medicaid, State Health Insurance Exchanges, Referral for Profit, and much more. You will hear from influential public policy makers and other physical therapy advocates, collaborate with colleagues in developing your chapter or section's advocacy efforts, and network with other professionals from across the country. Chapter presidents, legislative chairs, reimbursement chairs, chapter executives, lobbyists, students and anyone interested in state-level advocacy should attend!
