APTA's councils are national communities of volunteers that help to advance the strategic priorities of the association and profession.

APTA PTA Council

Representatives to the APTA PTA Council are PTA members selected or elected by APTA components and confirmed annually. Each component may identify up to one representative to the council. The council is headed by the PTA Council Steering Group.

APTA Student Council

Representatives to the APTA Student Council are student members selected by APTA components and confirmed annually. Each of APTA's components identifies up to one representative to the council. The council is headed by the Student Council Steering Group.
