Drugs contribute to falls, mortality, and obesity. That is why as a clinician it is important to help patients model healthy behaviors by incorporating fuel, rest, activity, mindfulness, and exercise, or FRAME, to offer alternative treatment to medicine and help patients live a healthy life utilizing physical therapy.

Timothy Flynn, PT, PhD, FAPTA, board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy, delivered the annual John H.P. Maley Lecture, "Why We Must Leave Medicine" on Sept. 10, 2021.
