What are you overlooking?

The USA Triathlon National Championships took place on the weekend of August 13-14 in Omaha, Nebraska. These annual events bring together most of the top "short course" triathletes in the country. The Olympic-distance championships—with 1500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, and 10-kilometer run components—were held on Saturday. The sprint-distance championships—with each component half the distance of its Saturday counterpart—were held on Sunday.

It had been 13 years since I'd competed in any serious short-course events, so I decided to give it a go on both days.
