- Submit one recommendation from each PT facility where you have volunteered or worked.
- The academic recommendation must be completed by a college or university faculty member who has served as your instructor, has personally observed you in the classroom environment and can address your academic preparation and aptitude.
- Submit one recommendation from a community service experience (volunteer/non-paid only). Acceptable experience must be non-PT related, and may include participation in college and university groups that provide service, cultural and faith-based groups, and national, regional, state, or local organizations.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Entry-Level Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum is designed to prepare physical therapy students to function as independent entry-level practioners upon graduation.
The objectives of the Entry-Level DPT program are to graduate generalists who are skillfully able to:
- Function as entry-level independent point-of-entry providers of physical habilitation and rehabilitation services.
- Effectively examine, evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate interventions for patients with primary, secondary, and tertiary physical impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities across the lifespan.
- Practice in a variety of clinical and non-traditional settings.
- Provide guidance and interventions to promote wellness and prevention and enhance the physical performance of persons in the community.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing with patients/families, colleagues, other health care workers, and the general public.
- Effectively manage physical therapy services, administration, marketing strategies, and fiscal responsibilities for their practice setting.
- Initiate a plan of lifelong learning.
- Participate as professional and civic leaders to advance the profession of physical therapy.
- Use evidence as a basis for critical thinking, decision-making, and independent practice.
