Additional information about the class profile

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The UVM doctor of physical therapy program includes coursework related to the science and art of physical therapy, including basic, clinical and applied sciences and basic concepts of practice management, ethics and quality in health care. The physical therapy program combines seminars, lectures and hands-on lab experiences that allow students to integrate clinical, theoretical and professional practice concepts. Included in the program is 36 weeks of full-time internship. Students practice in a variety of settings under the supervision of clinical instructors who are licensed physical therapists. With 270 clinical site contracts, internships are scheduled throughout the United States.
