Mentorship is an essential component of the Educational Leadership Institute (ELI) Fellowship. There are 2 types of mentors in the ELI Fellowship: mentors at the fellow's academic institution and physical therapist educator mentors.
Mentors provide focused fellow-centered guidance throughout ELI. Mentors provide regular and timely interaction with the fellows through coaching, advising, and facilitation through assigned small mentorship groups during the program as well as on an individual basis. Collectively, mentors are experienced leaders from physical therapist and physical therapist assistant programs and represent diverse institutional settings including public/private and Carnegie classifications.
