Student liaisons are volunteer APTA members who represent student members and Student Board of Directors with designated groups.

The Student Board of Directors appoints student liaisons, as needed, to help forge connections to related organizations within the APTA structure and to outside organizations related to physical therapy.

If you are interested in serving as a liaison, apply at APTA Engage.

ACAPT Liaison

This liaison should represent APTA student members in collaboration with the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy, which promotes excellence in education, scholarship, research, practice, and service to improve the health and wellness of society. The liaison should collaborate with ACAPT to address student issues, while also promoting awareness of and involvement with ACAPT’s role in student education.

PTPAC Liaison

PTPAC is APTA's political grassroots funding network. It provides members with access to legislators who champion physical therapy legislative interests at the federal level. The liaison should represent the APTA student members and raise awareness about PTPAC through education and engagement of student members. The liaison will assist PTPAC staff in educating students about the purpose of PTPAC through the leveraging of social media and engagement at national conferences. PTPAC provides funding for the student liaison to attend CSM.
