The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released the final 2023 Medicare Part B Physician Fee Schedule, and there's a lot to unpack (see what CMS says about it in a recent press release and fact sheet). Over a three-part series of articles, we're sharing what you need to know about the rule, which takes effect Jan. 1.

This installment focuses on payment provisions. The second installment looks at services such as telehealth, remote therapeutic monitoring, and supervision. The third installment will explore the Quality Payment Program for 2023.
