CLEAR Health Pass App

We are committed to a safe APTA Combined Sections Meeting that is consistent with CDC guidelines.

As part of our expectations and requirements for participation, all participants must show proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours in order to receive their mandatory registration materials.

To streamline vaccine verification, we are partnering with CLEAR Health Pass, which allows you to submit your information in advance for faster entry. Onsite manual review of vaccination status will be available, however use of CLEAR is strongly encouraged to reduce waiting times for everyone.

Note: Submit your proof of vaccination via the CLEAR app by Jan. 18 to have your name badge mailed to you to bypass registration in San Antonio (you will still need to get your badge holder and lanyard at the convention center).

Set-up takes approximately 3 minutes. Have your vaccine card handy.
  1. Click this link to allow CLEAR to text you to begin the app set up process. (Already downloaded the app? Look for the white Health Pass tile. Select Events, scroll to Conferences, and select American Physical Therapy Association.)
  2. Enroll or verify. Follow the prompts to verify your proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test.

Note: You can retake the selfie multiple times during the set-up process; however, once you load it to the app, you cannot access it again. Contact CLEAR at memberservices@clearme.com or tap Get in Touch in the app for assistance.
  • When prompted, select add your vaccination card to upload a photo of your CDC vaccine card.
  • Take a photo of your vaccination card and confirm your vaccine information.

Note: The photo of your CDC card is used to generate a green Health Pass. You will not be able to access it again after it is taken.

  • Select your vaccine provider in the menu or by searching other providers. Log in to your patient portal and follow instructions to securely link your account with CLEAR. The CLEAR app is integrated with select health care providers and pharmacies.
  • If you are unable to find your provider in search, CLEAR may not be able to link with them at this time.
  • Check that your COVID-19 vaccine appears in your patient portal, if not we recommend that you reach out to your provider directly.
  • If found, your results will link automatically and it may take up to one hour to verify your results within Health Pass — do not try to resync your results.
  • Tap SMART QR Code and follow the prompts to upload your QR code. Once confirmed, proceed to open your Health Pass.
  • Select your testing provider in the menu or by searching other providers. Log in to your patient portal and follow instructions to securely link your account with CLEAR.
  • The CLEAR app is integrated with select health care providers and pharmacies. If you are unable to find your provider or unable to link a test, please be prepared to bring a physical copy of your test results and your ID.

Note: If you linked your testing provider previously and you have a valid test result, proceed to complete your Health Pass.

5. At registration, have your pass ready to show for faster entry. Open the CLEAR app and select APTA Attendee Health pass tile. Green is good to go!

Onsite manual review will be available to those who decide not to use CLEAR, but please use CLEAR to reduce waiting times for everyone.

Please review all expectations and requirements for participation, and answers to frequently asked questions related to COVID-19. If you have any additional questions, contact APTA’s Member Success team.

We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio!
