The Foundation for Physical Therapy Research is now accepting applications for two major research funding programs projected to provide 15 scholarships in 2022.

The Promotion of Doctoral Studies I & II Scholarships, known as PODS I and II, support doctoral studies in physical therapy research. The PODS I program offers scholarships of up to $7,500 targeted at students in the coursework phase of postprofessional studies prior to candidacy; the PODS II program offers scholarships of up to $15,000 to support activities in the postcandidacy phase of postprofessional study. FPTR anticipates awarding nine PODS I and six PODS II scholarships in 2022. Applicants from all specialty areas are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility and application information is available on FPTR’s website. The deadline to apply is Jan. 5, 2022. Final notifications will be made in June 2022. (Note: The application process has changed from previous years. Visit FPTR’s website for full details and instructions.)
