If it seems like there are a lot of moving parts when it comes to keeping up with proposed state legislation across the country, that's because there are. But staying on top of everything just got easier: APTA now offers a user-friendly member benefit that can help you track bills important to the physical therapy profession, and even receive notifications on their progress.

The APTA State Advocacy Map is a dynamic tool designed to offer a comprehensive overview of each APTA state chapter that reported state legislative initiatives of interest to the profession during the current legislative season. Bottom line:  Everything you need to know is now just a few clicks away.

By selecting an individual state via the interactive map, members can see what's being proposed in that state and find out whether the relevant chapter supports, opposes, or is neutral on a bill. The tool also allows members to view bill text, current bill status, and more, as well as sign up to receive alerts and updates on specific state bills. The tool also offers an "all states" option that allows users to scroll through legislation across the country.
