From the time I was in fifth grade, after going through therapy for my foot, I felt my calling was to be a physical therapist. Six years into my career, everything I thought about my purpose in life was about to change in an instant. One Sunday morning in December I woke up with left-sided weakness. I immediately thought, "Did I have a stroke?" After checking myself for all the signs with a negative result, I wondered if I was just getting sick. I felt tired and lethargic.
