Some new treatments hold promise for people with PD. Here's what those in the physical therapy profession should know.
Parkinson's disease, or PD, is one of the most common neurological diseases across the globe and is projected to affect 12 million individuals worldwide by 2040, according to the Journal of Parkinson's Disease. More than 50% of people with the disease are likely to develop dementia.
