Richard "Rich" Shields, PT, PhD, FAPTA, is professor, chair, and department executive officer of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science in the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa. He received the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research's doctoral training research grants in 1989 and 1990.
