APTA’s new online community offers members a dynamic space for discussion, collaboration, and innovation.

The platform features multiple open forums and other forms of engagement, where members can interact with peers across the profession — fostering professional growth, exchanging ideas, and tackling issues that matter to them. The platform is designed to create a safe, welcoming space for members to feel at ease using.

Open Forums Provide Space for Growth and Innovation
Within the APTA Community, members have the exclusive opportunity to join open forums on topics including:

  • Residency/Fellowship
  • Alternative Payment Models
  • Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • COVID and Long COVID
  • Digital Care
  • Early-Career (open to members who are within five years of graduating PT and PTA school)
  • Innovation in Physical Therapy
  • Internationally Educated PTs
  • Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Women's Leadership

These forums offer members the ability to network with peers who share similar interests, ask questions, and build relationships across the profession. To encourage discourse within the forums, all members have the ability to start discussions and upload relevant files.

Members Can Level Up While Customizing Their Experience
Features within the APTA Community include an active member directory to search for other members by location and certification, opportunities for members to level up and be acknowledged as top contributors while earning exclusive custom ribbons and badges, and a customizable profile. Additionally, community members have access to keyword searches to quickly find discussions and files, and the ability to view announcements by community administrators within their feed.

APTA urges members to join this movement and get connected to the best and brightest within the profession. Learn more about this exclusive benefit and take advantage of all it has to offer by exploring the APTA Community or downloading the APTA Community app for iPhone and Android.
