Physical therapists and other therapy practitioners now have new resources to prepare them to thrive in value-based care environments. "Value-Based Care for Therapy: A Provider's Guide" and "Value-Based Care for Therapy: A Payer's Guide" prepare the physical therapy profession to shift from fee-for-service to value-based payment.

With the emergence of a number of new models from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, as well as the continued expansion of Accountable Care Organizations, PTs need to demonstrate a deep understanding of value-based care. Value-based care models recognize and reward the impact of high-value therapy services.
