Licensure

APTA does not license PTs or PTAs; licensure is managed by the individual state regulatory boards. APTA also doesn't administer the licensure exams for PTs and PTAs as this is handled by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. Learn more about licensure.

Media Requests

APTA’s media and public relations staff are available to assist media with interviews related to the physical therapy profession or association. All interview requests of APTA member leaders or staff must be conducted through APTA’s staff. Learn more about media inquiries.
